Who we are
Our Story
Campofelice was one of the first campsites to expand in our region and was founded by the Cattori family.
Following the establishment of the campsite, the Cattori family opened the Hotel Village Campofelice.
In 2007, is founded Campofelice SA, a company managing both the campsite and the hotel, both of which remain family-owned. Now in its third generation, the business continues to be a family enterprise.
In recent years, 90 new pitches have been added, equipped with water pipelines, TV connections, ventilation, and heating for sanitary facilities. To enhance leisure activities, a new football field, a BMX track, a beach volleyball court, and a giant screen have been introduced.
An additional floor was added to the reception, solar panel systems were introduced, and the exterior of Sanitary 1 was renovated. Additionally, the hotel rooms and the apartments in Casa Torre were refurbished.
The first 55 brand-new bungalows were opened, featuring terraces, gardens, and pedestrian-friendly access routes. Additionally, two new playgrounds and a modern sanitary facility were built, along with the installation of TV cables and WiFi across the pitches.
A significant investment was made in the bathing center, leading to the addition of 22 new bungalows and the construction of the new Sanitary 5. The hotel breakfast room was also modernized, with the creation of a dedicated lounge area for enhanced guest comfort.
A complete renovation of 22 hotel rooms was carried out, along with the relocation of the reception to the 13th floor and the reorganization of the laundry area. Additionally, a secured bicycle storage facility was created, and a brand-new modern sanitary facility (Sanitary 2) was built within the campsite.
In 2021, the new Robin Bistrot Café was completed, featuring an ice cream parlor and a rooftop, located in Piazza Campofelice. Additionally, a complete renovation of all apartments in Casa Torre was carried out, along with the opening of the brand-new campo felice Restaurant & Lounge, enhancing the dining experience for our guests.
Since 2024, Campofelice has been continuously investing in the modernization and renovation of its facilities. Major new additions include the BMX and MTB track, shaded areas in the playgrounds and pool area. Campofelice Hotel Village has been completely renovated.
70 years of Campofelice
In 2025, Campofelice proudly celebrates 70 years of history, marking decades of passion, dedication, and innovation in the hospitality sector. Founded in 1955 by the Cattori family and manage by Patelli Family since more than 40 years, the campsite has continuously evolved, growing from a small family-run business into a benchmark for tourism in Ticino.
From the very beginning, Campofelice has skillfully combined tradition and modernity, offering state-of-the-art services while maintaining a strong connection with the region and the local community. Infrastructure expansions, sustainable initiatives, and a focus on guest well-being have transformed the campsite into a welcoming and cutting-edge destination.
Today, after seven decades of growth, Campofelice remains synonymous with quality, relaxation, and fun, all while preserving the family spirit that has always defined it. We look to the future with excitement, ready to write new chapters in this remarkable story, always striving to create unique experiences for our guests.
